Quantitative and Qualitative Data Collection for Male Contraceptive Perception Assessment
CFHI was contracted by EPIAFRIC to provide support in a national research study to understand the perception of males towards the introduction of new male contraceptive technologies. CFHI served as the Abuja State Partner. CFHI was responsible for identifying and recruiting a team of 2 enumerators per area council of FCT, deploying enumerators for quantitative data collection, ensuring security and confidentiality of all survey resources, providing supervision for the quantitative data collection and ensuring data quality. CFHI was also responsible for recruiting survey participants for qualitative data collection.
CFHI recruited senior government officials, healthcare workers, religious leaders, traditional leaders to participate in in-depth interview. CFHI also recruited male groups to participate in focus group discussions across the area councils in the FCT. A total of 480 persons were interviewed and 6 In-depth Interview/Focus Group Discussions were conducted.
