SENSITIZATION AND SCREENING ACTIVITIES FOR DIABETES AWARENESS AND CARE(DAC) PROJECT PHASE TWO PROJECT

Supported by the Health Strategy and Delivery Foundation (HSDF), the Centre for Family Health Initiative recently conducted diabetes sensitization and screening activities at St. Theresa’s Catholic Church in Amurie Omanze, Isu Local Government Area, Imo State, during their August meeting. The outreach successfully engaged over 390 individuals, providing crucial information and screening services.

This effort is part of HSDF and CFHI’s broader, ongoing initiative to enhance its diabetes awareness and care programs across various communities. The initiative aims to increase awareness of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM), its risk factors, and prevention strategies; improve access to diabetes care; and enhance the availability, quality, and utilization of T2DM data for informed decision-making.
